Active across Asia and Europe, Yufu is a vintage soul artist inspired by the warm, textured sounds of 1960s and 1970s soul, as exemplified by Motown and Stax. Known for his elegant vocals, distinctive songwriting, and deeply rooted retro aesthetic, he is often described as “The Soulful Gent” for his smoky crooning style and the gentle quality of his voice.

Yufu’s debut album, "Heal Me Good "(2025, Zip Records), established his international presence. Its lead single, “Honey If You’re Extra” has surpassed 1.5 million streams, while the album has been released throughout Asia and Europe—including Japan, China, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands.

"Heal Me Good" was featured on Spotify editorial playlists including "Retro Soul" (US) and "Soul ’n’ the City" (Netherlands), with Yufu appearing as the cover artist of the latter. The album was also named Best R&B Album at Taiwan’s 2025 Golden Indie Music Awards.

In 2026, Yufu returns with two double-sided singles: “Side Effects May Include / Back In Your Eyes” and “A Scorpio Affair / Theme of the 8th House”. While retaining the warmth and texture of vintage soul, the new releases introduce a more playful and exploratory side of his songwriting and production.

Through his music, Yufu aims to help build an authentic vintage soul movement rooted in Asia while connecting the region with soul communities worldwide.
